WOW! What an epic conclusion to the Heartache Duet! It is a beautiful tale of family, friendship, love, strength and hope. But Ava and Connor's story isn't an easy one. It is a story that will rock you to the core. It will devastate you one minute and give you hope the next. There were a myriad of emotions that were prevalent in the story - anger, hurt, despair, guilt and remorse. As heartbreaking as it was, it was also a heartwarming story between two beautiful souls.

I am not going to lie. This story tore out my heart and ripped it in two. But then in the end it was stitched back together again. I loved that while this story was full of lighthearted and swoony moments, the author highlights a deep and underlying issue throughout the story of mental illness and the effects it has on our loved ones. I loved that it didn't shy away from the heavy subject matter. I loved that it didn't hesitate to toy with my emotions. I loved that in the end, my heart felt so completely happy for them. Once again, Jay McLean went above and beyond my expectations and has taken my breath away. ♥
