Review:

The emotional wringer is where the book kept me. Holy cow. Just when I thought the tears could dry, BAM another knock to the heart. I absolutely love this duet, and this book was so tremendous in it's feelings that at at times are overwhelming. Sloan is such a tough character, and I mean tough as in the hits just kept hitting and she kept standing even when she doubted herself. The love between her and Saylor is just out of this world and the song "Save me" by BTS played over and over in my head while reading this.
The character development was brilliant, as even the most seasoned person learned to be a little more than they were. Sloan had to learn to trust herself, Nash had to learn to trust his place with his brothers. Hunter had to learn to trust his strength, and North had to trust in his love for his child. I won't say what Saylor had to trust in other than he trusted fate. Overall, if you are looking for a contemporary story with ALL the feels, then this is it for you. I promise this book will not disappoint.

          Review:

I 100% get that Heather is going to leave us hanging at the end of books, but I am also 100% sure she laughs while she writes it. I cannot begin to tell you how long I have wanted these characters to have their own books, and I could not be happier. I love this world so freaking much, and the characters, while beloved as secondary characters in 82nd Street vandals, all carry that main character energy, so this is a stellar read.

There is a lot the author puts into play to set the tone, and to let you know to buckle the heck up, cause, it's gonna be a ride of epic proportions. The characters are fabulous, and I have loved Lainey since we were first introduced to her. She is dynamic, and IMO a tiny crazy. She for sure is a force to be reconed with. The story is magnificent, and you need to read it asap.

Review:

Wow, such a good book. If you like angst with very little, and I do mean very little sexy times, then this is for you. Let start with the fact there is very little sexy times, and I'm okay with that because it fits the narative the author is giving us. Honestly I am so tired of books where the woman has been through a horrible trauma and yet she is bed hopping by like half way in the book, to me that is a bit much. However, if you like slow burn, and you like the story to speak to you, then this is it. This story was so good, the author did a great job of conveying the very real feelings the characters were having. It's told in multiple pov, and was a great read, I can't wait to read the second half.

Review:

Another stunning book in this series and we are finally on track. The story as a whole is one of my favorite. I love these characters so much, and KC has been a favorite since the Untouchable series. The character development continues to be strong as is the world building. The plot is strong as is the angst and I am here for it. KC was given a yuck hand in life, and she still keeps rocking in life, she is a strong resilliant character, and I think for this day and age, it's important to see and read that.

It's nice to finally see life turning around for KC, and the truth coming out, I feel that the added twists in there kept the story going and me wanting more. I am so glad there is going to be one more book, I don't think Heather Long knows how to write just one or 2 books, it's go big or go home. As always the writing is impecable, and the story is told in multiple pov.
