When I win a trip to Vegas I need a plus one; he’s the strapping, strong and responsible choice. Besides—I’ve never been anywhere and he has.

Review:
Absolutely loved every second of this book. It's been a while since I have read a lighter book, and this one hit the spot. The characters and side characters are amazing, the one liners, the interactions, they are great, you really get a feels for the characters since this is told in dual pov. Ashley is a brit, that still retains his upbringing, and what is funny is, it's against the stuff he has learned while in the US. It's funny, it's irreverent, and it's a must read.
As always with these books by Sara Ney the characters make you want more, and more, and more. The typical midwest college town, with superb athletics, these characters make you laugh, the make you frustrated, and these two are no different. The characters though, are always endearing, and loveable.

★ ABOUT HEARTLESS KING ★

Two blue lines. That means not pregnant, right? Right? Oh, shit.

Five years ago, Colm Frost asked me to marry him and I ran. I ran from my painful past too raw and fresh to escape. He was the only one who looked at me like I wasn’t broken and made me believe it. He made me feel it.
Now, he’s the hot, angry, hockey player on the mend.
I’m the physiotherapist who’s supposed to get him back on his feet.
I don’t think our night together was what his doctor prescribed, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t dreamt of him every time I close my eyes. I woke up beside him with my body still singing from the way he fanned the flames of my desire, but I couldn’t stay.
His lips on my neck. His hands wrapped around my waist. His impressive...ahem, touch leaving me breathless.
One moment of wild inhibition and it’s come back to bite me in the butt. Kind of like he did that night.
But a baby? Our night was supposed to be a one time thing, closing a door on the future I couldn’t handle.
Will this new bump in the road be everything we needed to find our forever?
Heartless King is a standalone friends to enemies to lovers, accidental pregnancy romance that brings all the laugh out loud, angsty feels!

REVIEW

Gah! Heartless King is another fantastic addition to the Kings of Rittenhouse series. I simply cannot get enough of these sexy hockey players and the charming girls who are their perfect match. This story was sweet, swoon worthy, steamy and an utterly endearing page-turner. From the very first chapter this book reeled me in and never once let me go.

Colm has always been the responsible one. When his parents passed away, he took on the task of raising his younger sister. But in order to give her the best possible life, he had to sacrifice so much of himself. So when some truths come to light, he is angry, feels betrayed and completely goes off the rails. On top of that, he is nursing an injury that has left him unable to play with his team. Enter Imogen. She is the physiotherapist hired to help him get back on track. Not only that, she just so happens to be the girl that he's crushed on for years. After a one-night stand and a positive pregnancy test, this is where things really heat up.

Heartless King is the perfect ending to an amazing series. Colm and Imogen were two broken people who found exactly what they needed in each others arms. It was a trying journey at times, but beautiful just the same. If you haven't started this series yet, then you need to go and one-click now. Each and every one of these books were steamy and packed with all the feels. Five stars for Colm, Imogen and Heartless Kings!

★ EXCERPT FROM HEARTLESS KING ★

The way she bit her bottom lip while sitting in the back of the taxi sent my heart thundering against my ribs, trying to make a quick escape out the window. She was going through all those thoughts blinking like big caution signs on a dark night saying “No, don’t do this. It’s irresponsible. Here are twenty seven reasons this is a bad idea.” I didn’t want to be a bad idea or a mistake in her mind. She sure as hell wasn’t one in mine.
Tugging her toward me, nearly sitting on my lap, I sealed her parted lips mid-gasp with a kiss. Threading my fingers through her hair, I let my tongue dance along her lips, before delving inside.
The taxi driver cleared her throat. Only then did I remove my hand from under her skirt, tracing the edges of her panty line with the tips of my fingers.
I released my hold on her.
Now, her pink cheeked glances and slightly mussed hair were a hallmark to how far away I’d pushed those thoughts out of her mind. That along with her fingers intertwined with mine. Her pulse drumming against my palm.
She had no trouble putting her hands all over me during one of our sessions, but could still be shy about us exploring one another's bodies. An exploration I wouldn’t be finished with until I’d committed each inch of her to memory and could discover which spots made her gasp, whimper and moan.
Her gaze kept darting to the tent in my pants.
”At this point, I’d think you’d be used to it.”
With a hasty cash tip to the driver, I hustled her out of the taxi.
We burst through the front door like a zombie hoard was following us through the streets.
With a mischievous grin over her shoulder, Imogen danced outside of my grasp.
Her laugh made me smile as she took off up the stairs, shedding clothes along the way. I gathered up each piece like the world's most tempting breadcrumbs.
A heel, then another.
Her soft black wrap.
The perfectly formed cups of her light gray bra hung on the railing at the top of the stairs.
I stood silently, trying to find her. She was a stripping Houdini.
Her dress, the one that fit her perfectly, in a heap on the floor.
My blood thrummed in my veins, pounding harder with each step. I’d been inside her less than an hour ago and already I was ravenous for her touch.
And that’s when I remembered. The bright blue, lacy fabric in my pocket.
She was totally naked.

The Second We Met by Maya Hughes

Series: Fulton U #2
Author: Maya Hughes
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: October 17, 2019

Blurb

Dear Jerk Across the Street, sorry for accidentally walking in on you and catching an eyeful of your—equipment. And hard pass on the open invitation to join you in the shower “anytime”, A-hole.

That’s the note I should’ve written. Instead I sent a pleasant and apologetic version.

Had I known Phoenix “Nix” Russo would’ve been the neighbor from hell, I’d have told him right where he could shove my words.

Nix is the big man on campus with everyone lined up at his games to make sure he knows it. Sure, he’s got piercing green eyes, abs that don’t quit and a smile that could set fire to a set of panties from a hundred yards away, but he’s also the biggest pain in my ass.

Dear Pink-Haired Menace, learn how to take a joke and stop being such a kill-joy...

Elle Masterson called the cops on one of my parties—again. My sweet talking usually gets me out of trouble, but this time it got me into a nice pair of silver handcuffs. Now I’m on a reputation rehab tour with a stop at a spring break community service project.

Guess who’s my new boss?

Now we’re shoulder to shoulder, sweaty, tired and…she’s not anything like I expected. There might just be a heart under that hardass exterior. She’s invading my dreams and I can’t shake the feeling she’s the key to unlocking a piece of me that I’ve hidden away.

It’s only a matter of time until she finds out why I’m really here.

Maybe I can break through her walls and into her heart before that happens...one screw at a time.

“I’ve missed this,” he whispered against my lips.
“Me too.”
His fingers tightened around the hair at the base of my neck. Tilting my head to the side, he ran his lips over my skin, sending shivers down my spine.
One second we were standing in the middle of the pitch-black room and the next the whole world tilted. I landed against Nix’s solid chest.
“Are you okay?” I tried to push myself up.
He tightened his hold around me. “The stress balls, sweatpants, and t-shirts cushioned my fall.”
“Thank you for today.” I peppered his jaw with kisses.
“Thank you for letting me do this for you.” The outline of his erection pressed against the front of my mound. Just one inch higher…
He wrapped his hands around my waist and lifted me, perfecting the angle.
I shuddered and ground my hips against him. Someone walked by the door, but we didn’t stop—couldn’t stop.
His hands cupped my ass, dragging me harder against him. The texture of his jeans added extra sensation against my clit. I was on fire for him through two layers of clothes.
My short gasps and his low groans were the only sounds in the room other than the fabric friction.
“We should get back out there.” I raked my teeth along the side of his neck.
“You’re probably right.” His hips shot up and I wanted to scream in frustration that he wasn’t inside me, but I didn’t want to break from the thrumming pleasure rushing all over my body.
“In a second.”
“In a minute.” His tongue danced with mine in time to the rhythm of our hips. Laughter rang out in the hallway behind the door, but I couldn’t stop. If someone came in, there wasn’t anything that would stop me from dry-humping Nix into next week.

Review

Gah! The second book in Maya Hughes' Fulton U series, The Second We Met, was sweet, fun and a whole lot hot. I am a huge fan of this author's writing, especially in her lighthearted, easy reading sports romance novels. The Second We Met is full of the fire and feels that I have come to love in Maya's books.

Elle is done with men after having her heart broken twice. Her only focus now is graduating college and continuing with her humanitarian work. But a run-in with the football team's star player paves the way for an antagonistic relationship. He becomes her number one enemy when she is constantly woken up due to his brothel's partying ways. Between school, her volunteer work and working to earn a prestigious award, a girl needs her sleep.

Nix's whole life has revolved around football and his father's plans for his future. With a legend for a father, Nix is always in the spotlight and feels the pressure to go pro. But after sustaining multiple injuries, he begins to question this path. Then when his reputation is put on the line, he is forced to take part in a community project. And who does he get paired up with for this big project? With the smart and sassy Elle of course.
After working on this project together, Elle slowly comes to realize that there is more to Nix than meets the eye. Their hostile relationship soon blossoms into an unlikely friendship that is followed by something so much more. Their sizzling hot chemistry and fiery banter make this enemies-to-lovers romance one of my top reads of the year. Full of humor, heart and heat, I devoured this sexy romance all in one day. The Second We Met by Maya Hughes gets endless stars from me!

Review

"We're moon and earth, living among the stars and sun. We're everything. And no matter the distance, we still make sense together."

"Our love wasn't just written in the stars. Our love was the stuff stars and planets were made of."

GAH! I have read several of this author's books and none have made me tear up and touch me on such an emotional level as Defying Gravity. I can honestly say that this is one of my all time favorite second chance romances. Tobias and Amelia's story is a deeply moving, epic journey to soul awakening love. Larger than life, grand on every measurable scale, this is a wholly unforgettable love story. Passionate and sexy when it needed to be, but it was also raw and heart-breaking at times while still managing to be uplifting and hopeful. The delicate balance of this story was masterfully crafted by K.K. Allen in what is undoubtedly her finest work to date.

She ran a hand through my hair, roughing it at the top, while I gazed at her, soaking in the way her light-green eyes looked almost brown in the dim overhead lights. “I guess this is goodbye, huh?”
I shook my head as my brows pulled together. “No.”
“Tobias,” she said, her tone soft and scolding.
“It’s not.” I searched her expression, praying I wasn’t being an idiot. All this time together, the nights we’d shared, the secrets we’d kept. It couldn’t only be me. I swallowed. “The way I see it, I’ll be focused on basketball, and you’ll have dance. That doesn’t mean we can’t talk. That doesn’t mean we’ll never see each other again.”
She looked lost in her thoughts for a minute, and I knew she was considering my words. “So, what? We’re long-distance … friends?”
I leaned forward, placing my forehead against hers. “You know as well as I that you can’t put a label on what we are. We’re just Amelia and Tobias. We’re moon and earth, living among the stars and sun. We’re everything. And no matter the distance, we still make sense together.”
Her next breath hitched as she sucked it in. “That’s beautiful, but gravity weakens with distance, remember?”
I shook my head, refusing to accept her point. “Not when it comes to us.” I swallowed around the thickness building in my throat. “Not when we defy gravity.”
I kissed her hard, pulling her body close while her mouth molded to mine. We fit so well, not even she could deny that. And she didn’t. Not when I stripped her of her clothes and lay her down. Not when I buried my head between her legs and stroked her devilishly with my tongue. And not when my fingers pushed inside her, working her center until she screamed my name like it was a curse word.
A layer of sweat coated her body when I pulled her into my arms and wrapped her legs around my waist. Our mouths stayed on each other as I walked her to her bedroom and placed her on her bed. I yanked my clothes off next and kicked them to the side before sitting at the edge of her bed and pulling a condom from her nightstand. My cock was hard as stone as I rolled it on, already missing the feel of her wrapped around me.
And when I hovered above her, fitting myself to her body and readying myself for that first thrust, I leaned in to steal another kiss before placing my mouth on her ear. “I’ll find my way back to you, Amelia.” I bit down on tender skin and nudged against her entrance, relishing the moan that slipped past her throat. “I’m about to make sure you don’t forget that.”

Interference by Harlow Cole

Author: Harlow Cole
Genre: Contemporary Sports Romance
Release Date: July 18, 2019

Blurb

Brayden
I’m a goddamn prodigy.  It’s true. Ask anyone.
I threw my first curveball the day I was born.

The whole town is waiting on me.
To live up to my father’s famous name. To reach for the stars.

All I want to reach for is her.

But Ashley is the sweet addiction I can’t afford. She’s my best friend’s sister. Hell, she’s practically my little sister. For years, I’ve protected her from guys that want one thing. What happens now that I’ve turned into one of them? Who’s gonna shield her from the way I was made, from my little white lies and from what I’m about to become?

My game plan sounds simple: Pitch my way into the Major League draft and stay out of Ashley Foster’s pants. That first part may be statistically difficult.

The second feels damn near impossible.

Ashley
From the moment we met, I knew he was trouble.
The kind my mother sent me to find.
The type that ruins you for any other brand.

When we were young kids, I didn’t know what to call the frogs and butterflies that danced in my belly whenever Brayden came near. Now I know they have a name.

Those three little words that could heal or destroy him.

Before Brayden, my life was normal. And then it wasn’t. It couldn’t be. Ever again. How was I to know stealing his seat would change all our lives?

Anger and forgiveness share two halves of the same coin.
Our story might make you choose sides.

Interference is a slow burn, coming of age romance that takes readers from the sweet anticipation of first times to the passion of soul mates finally staking their claim. With a touch of Dawson’s Creek and a taste of Friday Night Lights, it is the first half of the completed St. Michaels duet.
