One single summer changed them forever, and one moment of devastating silence destroyed it all. Growing up with six siblings, Leo Preston has always struggled to find his voice. While his brothers are loud, greedy, and somewhat obnoxious, Leo is forever the quiet one. The thinker. The listener. He watches his life pass by as an outsider in his own world, absent and alone. Lost. Until he finds her. For Leo, Mia Kovรกcs is like a prize, a gift wrapped in passion and devotion. And she’s his—his very own secret he doesn’t have to share. Together, they can overcome anything… heartache and destruction, guilt and regret. Mia gives Leo everything he didn’t know he needed, including her fragile heart. The only thing she doesn’t give him... are secrets of her own.

Teardrop Shot By Tijan

Title: Teardrop Shot
Author: Tijan
Genre: New Adult/Sports Romance
Release Date: June 24, 2019

BLURB

I asked for his criteria for bed buddies-that's the PG version.

He swore at me and said he didn't do groupies. And just like that, our friendship was off to a great start.

Reese Forster was the starting point guard for the Seattle Thunder.

Gorgeous. Cocky. Loved by the nation.

He's also attending preseason basketball training camp where I used to work.

Correction: where I work again, because I was fired from my last job.

And dumped.

And I might have a tiny bit of baggage, but that's normal. Right?

Reese and I shouldn't have become friends. We shouldn't have become roommates.

And we really shouldn't have started sleeping together ... (Except we did.)

I'm adorably psychotic. He's in the NBA.
This is not a disaster waiting to happen, at all.

REVIEW

I have been a huge fan of Tijan since her Fallen Crest series. I absolutely love her work! Her stories are so riveting, addicting and wonderfully written. And I wanted to love this one too. I truly did, but I just didn't. The female lead, Charlie, was just too much for me. She was quirky and downright weird with her constant off the wall questions. I felt they were distracting and took away from the story-line. I got so frustrated with her and wanted to throw my kindle at times. On a more positive note, I really did love Reese. He was broody, sexy and seemed to be the perfect match for her oddball self. Their chemistry was electric and the banter highly entertaining.

For me, this book had potential, but it just didn't live up to my expectations. I know many readers will probably disagree with me, but remember, this is just my opinion. So you will just have to give it a read and decide for yourself. I am in no way criticizing the author. In fact, I will continue to read her books in the future. It's just that some books work for you and others don't. This story just wasn't my cup of tea, but please don't let my review sway you from giving it a go. It might be exactly what you are looking for.
