My heart is a run-away train in my chest as I stare into her silver eyes, watching her internal battle. She wants to tell me her reasons for being here because she wants to get away, I don't need to be able to feel the tremor wracking her body to know that she's scared of me right now, I can practically taste her fear and it feeds some part of me that I wasn't aware needed sating quite so badly.  I knew standing before her, looking into her eyes was going to calm the war raging inside me. But I had no idea her fear was going to be this... addictive.  "Tell me," I demand again as footsteps in the gravel of the parking lot sound out. I've no idea if it's some of tonight's late-night customers or staff, I don't rip my eyes from Peyton's to find out.  I don't need to say anything to warn her against calling out or asking for help. She seems to know that it would be a really bad fucking thing to do.  She swallows once more, her delicate skin rippling against my hand, making me want to tighten my hold to terrify her even more.

Review:

A fantastic book. The plot is very intriguing and it draws you in. When you don't expect it, BAM, there is a twist. All the while you do tend to have the usual teenage drama. Poppy is problematic in some ways. She does most of the push and pull between her and Zayn. She is needlessly stubborn, and it's like she had a reason to be that stubborn. It was kind of vapid, for the lack of another word. However, this book works. The characters work, the plot works, the crazy stuff that goes down in this book works. It's told in dual pov, and you are really able to get to know the characters as you should.

Fierce is the fourth book in the Rosewood High series by Tracy Lorraine. Told in dual perspectives, this story follows the lives of Chelsea and Shane. Get ready for lots of angst, drama and infinite feels!

Chelsea had it all - the beauty, the popularity, the cheer squad. But after some poor choices, this Queen B lost everything and found herself in a rehabilitation center. After weeks of therapy, she is ready to go home, make amends and reclaim her throne. But unfortunately for her, she was not welcomed back with open arms. Her road to redemption was a long one with plenty of bumps and bruises along the way.

Shane is the quiet one on the football team. Much to his father's disappointment, he is not like his brothers. He prefers to stay in the shadows rather than the limelight. They have big dreams of joining the NFL, but that's not something Shane wants. What he wants is the head cheerleader who fell from grace before being sent away. Even after everything she put him through, he still wants her, and she feels the same way, but he's not going to make things easy for her.

I absolutely loved each and every second of this book! Tracy continues to impress me with each story that she writes. She takes characters and just breathes life into them, making them all so unique. She brings her A game in Fierce. It's my new favorite of the series. The hate to love. The emotional turmoil. The steam factor. It's just perfection. Two thumbs up. Highly recommended. Definitely a one-click come release day. Five stars for Chelsea, Shane and Fierce!

Danni and Carter meet on a dating website. They immediately click and make plans to meet up, but she soon finds out that she has been tricked. Instead of him being a posh banker, he's actually a tattooed bad boy. She does not take kindly to being lied to and wants nothing more to do with him. But fate has other plans, and their paths soon cross again. Danni's brother Zack is getting married in Vegas, and as it turns out, Zack is best friends with Carter. What follows is a whirlwind romance full of undeniable chemistry and fiery hot banter.

I absolutely loved Carter. He was sexy, funny, kind and charming. But Danni... She was stubborn, judgmental and very frustrating at times. I had trouble connecting with her early on. That's one reason why it took me so long to get through this book. That, and in my opinion, there was a bit much sex. Every time I turned around these two were going at it. I prefer more story to the amount of sexy times there were. But hey, that's just my opinion. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed this story.
