I've had a hard life. Orphaned at birth and living in a small broke town, one that believes I'm a cursed child. The bringer of bad luck.

While dealing with the aftermath, an unbelievable opportunity landed in my lap. A scholarship to attend an exclusive university far away. This was my chance to start fresh. 

With nothing left to lose, I take it. 

I didn’t expect to run into a blast from my past. The Ambros triplets. My only friends at the orphanage until they were adopted and I never saw them again. These boys are now grown and everything about them calls to me. 

They want to make good on their promises all those years ago. They want to protect me. Take care of me. 

The longer I’m around them the more I see their wants bleed into something dark, something obsessive. 

I know it's wrong, but why does it feel so good?

Review:

This is a good start for a duet, and leaves on a cliffy. The story is told in multiple pov, and it starts off as the characters are young children. It picks back up when they are in their 20's. The character development is good, I can't help but feel like I am waiting for the other shoe to drop, and I know the second half is going to be a doozy. The characters still have a lot to figure out, and I am sure there is going to be hell to pay for the stuff the tripletts have done so far. Cannot wait for the second half.

Review:

Having not read the previous series, I felt a little like there was more to the story, that being said, the author did a great job making sure the reader didn't feel it necessary to read the first series. Von is something else, she is just thiiiiis side of nuts. I dig it though, in order for this story to work she has to be. I am just going to say it, I love Bear, he I think fits Von so well, they all do, as these characters are very well crafted, they are rife with development. The world the author crafted is one you can tell she is comfortable in. She places the characters in vulnerable positions, she puts them in danger, and watches them work themselves out. I love it.

Will Hollow Oak become my graveyard?

Review:

Just when I thought I knew what was going on, BAM, I didn't know anything, and this author was more than happy to scramble the readers brains. There is zero spice, and it's okay, it doesn't really fit with the story, yet. No one knows what is going on, how the girls are dying, and you think you have someone pegged and find out you are wrong. I am loving the twists and turns of this book. Keep in mind it does end on a cliffy, so if you are not down, this is the first in either a series or duet, I am not sure which to be honest, I went in blind and I am not sorry about it.

VIRGIN SACRIFICE is a twisted, why-choose tale of murder, mystery, and love, where the girl gets the psycho in the end. A slow burn, with enough tension to drown in; it is the first book in the DEAD GIRLS CLUB series and ends on a cliffhanger.
