Review:

Ugh such a good book!! I am loving this series, it's a series of standalones that interconnect, but trust me you will want to read all of them. I love the characters the author creates, and the world in which they live. This book has some many tropes rolled into one, and I am here.for.it. Bronwyn we see from the beginning of the books in my darling arrow, and you get to know her a little bit, so when it was time for her book, heck yes, I couldn't get enough.
The best friends brother, teacher/student, age gap. Yes, all of it yes. The story is so character driven, and so heartfelt, you cannot help but get invested and stay invested in these characters, I mean, Conrad is no slouch, if ya catch my drift. This is a definite must read in my opinion, you won't be sorry when you meet these characters.

Review:

Great book, I like to know the story from every point of view, and this didn't disappoint. Hey it was a chance to revisit Lucas and June. Lucas, in his pov, certainly doesn't come off as a too sympathetic character, he seemed more so from June's pov. That being said he had a reason for everything, he is a teenager after all. The characters are a little more fleshed out this go around, and certainly more relatable. It was nice to see the interactions between Lucas and Tory, that we didn't get from June's book. All in all great story.

I really enjoyed this book, I love books like this, where there is a lot of give and take. There were moments in this book where I was embarrassed to the teeth, but there were other times, I was like, this is amazing. The chemistry between the two main characters is off the charts, even when they are at each others throats. Sawyer sure does come off as a douchebag at first, yet, I get it. He was horribly embarrassed at the start of his all important high school years, and to make himself feel better he lashed out.
Blair has her own set of issues, and one of them is not being honest, she does it because she is afraid. To make this story more interesting, Blair comes back for her senior year hot as all get out, and Sawyer can't believe she is his ex best friend. This is such a great story, with characters that just won't get out of their own ways to figure it out, but who does when they are a teenager and know everything? Told in dual pov, this is a great read if you like more mature YA. 

Foes & Cons is the latest full-length standalone novel by Carrie Aarons. It's a young adult best friends-to-enemies-to-lover's romance that I absolutely loved. This is, hands down, Carrie's best work to date. Told in dual perspectives, get ready to meet Sawyer Roarke and Blair Oden.

Sawyer and Blair have been best friends for years, but then at sixteen, everything changed. It starts with a pros and cons list that she wasn't supposed to see and ends with a game of seven minutes in heaven gone wrong. Now their once unbreakable bond is destroyed and all that's left is their simmering hate for one another.

After two years of dealing with his torture and pranks, Blair has had enough. It's her senior year and she's determined to make the most of it. The summer away changed her. She is now sexier and more confident than ever. Sawyer can't help but to notice and after a truth is revealed, he is determined to win her heart and make up for all of that wasted time.

I devoured this highly addictive and well written story in just a couple of hours. Blair and Sawyer's love story made my heart happy in the end. Their happily ever after was well worth all of the ups and downs along the way. A super quick read, I enjoyed everything about this angsty, fun and exciting read. Five stars for Blair, Sawyer and Foes & Cons!

Glass Heart Hero is the third installment in the Glass Heart Academy series by author Lindsey Iler. This book is off the charts good. It is suspenseful, thrilling, dark, gritty, unique and full of twists and turns that you won't see coming. Told in dual perspectives, this is Delaney and Breaker's story.

I absolutely loved Delaney and Breaker. As we saw in the previous two books, these two have quite a connection. But in this book, at least at the start, she is dating Tripp. He is determined to win her heart, but that won't be easy when it has always belonged to another. These two battle it out in a gauntlet, and the stunts escalate with each time that they meet. I never knew how far these boys would go all in the name of jealousy and love.

Holy smokes! This book was one wild thrill ride that will have your heart racing the whole way through. You will be glued to your seat while furiously flipping page after page. This is another heart-stopping read in a series that I can't seem to get enough of. Full of angst, drama and steam, this is definitely a story that you won't want to miss. Five stars and many, many more for Delaney, Breaker and Glass Heart Hero!

Review:

Amazingly fantastic book, The characters which at first I was really unsure of are great. typical teenagers, it took me a hot minute to warm up to them. Vee and Xavier seem like such polar opposites, but when you break it down, they are more alike then they care for. The angst is so good in this, I feel bad for Vee, she doesn't have a easy road of it, and she is never a person that chooses to put themselves first, and I can so relate to that mentality.
The secondary characters add a much needed layer of angst, comedy, and just an all out realness. This book shows that everyone has problems of some kind, and that no ones problem is bigger than another's. The world which these characters live is a small southern town, so there is a lot of the relatable side issues that come with that. All in all, this story which is told in dual pov is a sure fire winner in my book.

“You sure you want to bail? Leave me here alone in a dark theater with Valerie? Maybe you should tag along and make sure I behave myself.”

I know he’s only ragging on me, but I scoff at him anyway. “Please. I’d never babysit a guy. My mom taught me better than that. If you like Valerie, there’s no way you like me. If you don’t like me, then—”

He stands just as abruptly as I did, moving so close he’s practically on top of me.

My words halt and my amusement fades. His handsome face is so close to mine, my heart sinks. I can’t think straight when he stands so close to me.

“Then what?” he challenges, looking down at me and holding my gaze.

Stampeding wild animals stomp through my chest as I look back at him. I can see from the glimmer in his eyes, he knows exactly how he’s affecting me.

“Don’t torture me, Hunter.”

“This isn’t what it feels like to be tortured by me, Catnip.”

100% love this book, and if you like bully books you will too. Yes there are some triggers, but honestly it's a bully book, that should be trigger warning enough. This is the story of Hunter and Riley, and boy are these 2 a mess. At times I was totally frustrated with Riley, but then I realized there was a reason she was like she was. Hunter for all his smarmy charm is just as a big of a mess as Riley is.

The chemistry of the two is pretty off the charts. The world the author created is an average high school, there are the usual groups, the jocks, the mean girls, the nobodies, the latter is where Riley is. The way the story is told and the characters portrayed is pretty amazing, they are sympathetic characters that you root for the whole way. This store is told mostly in Riley's pov with some chapters in Hunters pov. Take my advice and give this book a go, especially if you like the bully subgenre.

The Boy on the Bridge is a full-length bully romance by Sam Mariano. I read the short in the Bully Me anthology last year and have been dying for more ever since then. ♡

Riley was a very likeable and relatable person. I found her to be strong, selfless and brave. She is exactly the type of girl that I could see myself having as a best friend. I loved what she did for Sara and the close friendship that they had. And Hunter? His story really tugged at my heartstrings for all that he had to endure. No kid should ever be subjected to that.

Hunter's friendship with Riley was very sweet. I enjoyed seeing how their friendship blossomed into something more until the moment it all fell apart. He put her in an impossible situation asking her to keep a secret that definitely should not have been kept. When that secret gets out, he feels betrayed and is sent away, but not before vowing to get revenge upon his return.

Fast forward four years and he's back, determined to make good on his word, and he does indeed make things difficult for her. But the bond they formed when they were just 14 years old is still there despite everything. They just have this pull towards one another that can't be denied. But Riley is reluctant to go down that road with him again especially when crosses a line that she finds unforgiveable.

Man oh man, this was a riveting and epic bully romance! I loved all of the banter, the tension and angst. This story was pure perfection! Now I will say that Riley got on my nerves at times trying to get past a certain hang-up, but I still loved her nonetheless. The relationship between these two was one hell of a rollercoaster ride, but I enjoyed each and every second of it. Five stars and more for Hunter, Riley and The Boy on the Bridge!
