Review: After You

Okay, finally gathered my thoughts enough on this story to give a review. I can tell you this. I will read anything Stephanie Rose puts out. She can rewrite the phone book and I would read it. After you is not so much as a second chance romance as it is a taking faith romance. Nick and Ellie or Ella-Jane as Nick calls her, are absolutely perfect. Ellie is a single mother to a 5yr old little boy. Her first husband passed away when their son was just a baby.
The taking faith part comes when she meets Nick, and has to decide to do whats best for her child. She can't decide whats best for her until that is clear. Nick is a firefighter, and an all around big teddy bear. He comes from a tight knit family and all he wants in the world is Ella-Jane and her son to be his. Not going to give anything away, but this was a true steal your breath book for me. I was a single mom with a little girl, and so I know what Ellie is going through. All the doubts and worries, second guesses and what-ifs. This story is told in first person alternating view.
