Reviews:
GAH! Can I just give this book ALL OF THE STARS? The Trouble With You was AMAZING! It was filled to the brim with angst, drama, secrets, loyalty and love. It's everything that you could possibly want in a high school romance, and it absolutely rocked my world! L.A. Cotton has quickly moved to the top of my list of go to authors. She really delivers with this angsty, slow-burn, forbidden YA romance that instantly left me yearning for more.
The story follows Hailee as she starts her senior year of high school along with her BFF Felicity. She is strong-willed, artistically inclined and free-spirited, living in a town that lives and breathes football. The Rixon Raiders to be specific, but she doesn't want anything to do with that life. Especially not when the players such as her stepbrother Jase are constantly bullying her and playing pranks. But let me tell you, she's a real spitfire and gives as good as she gets.
Cameron is Jase's best friend and for years has kept his crush on Hailee under wraps. Jase made it clear from the very beginning that she is strictly off-limits to all of his buddies. So he just goes along for the ride with all of Jase's endless pranks. Cameron is then hit hard with the news that his mom is pretty sick. This really takes a toll on him as he is already dealing with the pressures of football and rivalry with the East team. The stress becomes too much, and he turns to Haillee who becomes his source of strength as well as so much more.
I absolutely loved Cameron and Hailee! The chemistry was hot and the tension palpable between them. Their story was wonderfully written, well paced and pure slow-burn perfection! All in all, The Trouble With You was addicting, intense, all-consuming, and I could not put it down. It's definitely not one to miss, and worth every penny you spend!

This book was fantastic. The conflict between characters, the world building, everything was perfect. I really enjoyed this story and all the characters and cannot wait until I get to see more. Cameron was the perfect hero in this book. Full of conflict, angst, rage, lust and love. I mean, what more could you ask for?
The plot was great, the book drew me in immediately and I never wanted to put this book down. There was just some sort of connection between the reader and the characters that make you come back again and again, and leave you thinking about them, when you are not reading. This story is told in dual pov.
